Welcome to my website! My name’s Lucy and I’m a writer of fantasy stories that focus on the light of human connection in dark, oppressive societies.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the magic of storytelling, whether that be via books, video games, TV shows or films.
Fantasy has always been my genre of choice (though I do also love a good horror, psychological thriller or murder mystery). There is something inherently captivating about journeying into another world with a character—though I do find myself most drawn to fantasy stories, characters and worlds that aren’t so different from our own.
I am currently working on a fantasy trilogy called The Commune’s Curse, published by Santa Fe Writers Project (SFWP). The first book in this series, Awakening, is available now. You can learn more about this series by going to The Commune’s Curse tab.
I have recently finished a dark fantasy story inspired by Victorian London and Jack the Ripper, working title Etherstone. This is currently on submission with literary agents.
I also enjoy writing short stories as they provide the opportunity to dip into new characters and settings without the commitment of a full-length novel. You can check these out via the Short Stories tab at the top of the page.
